A classic example of Walker’s sharp stencil aesthetic from the late 2000s, blending wit and urban iconography.
Nick Walker is a British street artist and one of the early pioneers of stencil graffiti, emerging from the influential Bristol scene of the 1980s alongside artists such as Banksy. His work is recognised for its sharp wit, political undertones, and refined stencil technique, often blending dark humour with elegant, instantly recognisable imagery.
Walker rose to international prominence with his iconic Vandal series, which has become one of the most enduring motifs in contemporary street art. He was among the first graffiti artists to successfully transition into the gallery space, with sell-out exhibitions including his breakthrough New York show in 2008, where works reportedly sold out within minutes. His pieces have since been exhibited globally and are held in major private collections, cementing his status as a key figure in the evolution of urban art from subculture to mainstream contemporary practice.
