A female figure in underwear stands before a group dressed as nuns in a powerful theatrical re-enactment inspired by the case of Ahoo Daryaei during a London protest in support of Iranian women. Echoing Daryaei’s public act of defiance against compulsory veiling, the image confronts the influence of institutional religion and the control exerted over women’s bodies. Vulnerability is transformed into resistance, creating a striking visual statement on freedom, dignity, and bodily autonomy.

Photographed during an international day of action, the work captures the spirit of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement and the global solidarity it continues to inspire.
