Aubrey Fagon is a London-based documentary photographer and filmmaker whose work explores the intersection of urban culture, social identity, music, and contemporary community life.

With a background in film and photography, Fagon began his career in the audiovisual industry working with Samuelson Film Services, one of the UK’s leading film equipment companies, before collaborating with MTV as a camera operator and video specialist. Over the years, his practice evolved into a distinctive documentary style rooted in observation, authenticity, and human connection.

His photography is deeply connected to London’s street culture and Black British communities, capturing the energy, diversity, and social realities of contemporary urban life. Alongside his work in music, festivals, and street photography, Fagon has also documented political and social movements, creating images that combine artistic sensitivity with documentary honesty.

Beyond the UK, Fagon has collaborated with international humanitarian organisations including CARE, Save the Children, Oxfam, and the International Rescue Committee, producing documentary work across Africa, Asia, and South America. These experiences have further shaped his human-centred visual language and global perspective.

Alongside his photographic practice, Aubrey Fagon has worked extensively in film as a cinematographer and camera operator on productions including Glastonbury: The Movie in Flashback, As Old as My Tongue: The Myth and Life of Bi Kidude, Hoods n Halos, and Zion. His photographic work has also been featured by Leica Fotografie International.

Today, Aubrey Fagon’s work stands as a powerful visual record of contemporary culture — intimate, socially engaged, and deeply rooted in the lived experiences of the communities he documents.
